This week we’ve been chatting to our Scholarship student, Ricky who sat the HSC this year in 2020.

When did you join Talent?

I joined Talent at the start of Year 11, so it would be 2019

Which Talent centre do you study at, and which courses do you take?

Chatswood Learning Centre

Can you list which subjects you’re taking at Talent?

I am currently taking Mathematics Extension 1 and Physics

What’s your favourite part of the Maths Extension 1 course at Talent?

I really like my Mentor, Callum. He’s funny and connects well with all of the class.

How does it feel being one term ahead of your classmates in school?

It feels more like revision. It’s especially more advantageous for the harder concepts, where it’s better to learn something more than once and it helps to solidify your knowledge.

Can you share your number one study tip?

Keep the time you work and the time you’re relaxing as separate. It’s not really productive to be studying and then go on Snapchat.

What are your career aspirations after high school?

Long term, hopefully something in IT, Engineering or Actuarial Studies. Short term, maybe teaching.

If you could describe Talent in one word, what would it be?

Inspirational
