My top 5 study tips
Work incredibly hard. Shortcuts and study tips without hard work are worth nothing.
Practice continually, especially with past papers. The questions most similar to those in the HSC are those that were in the HSC.
Focus on understanding above rote learning. The content of analytical subjects fits together beautifully if you understand it well, otherwise your work is far harder as you need to memorise every case that may arise rather than understanding how to apply basic rules and structures.
Exercise, sleep, eat. Your physical and mental health are key contributors to your ability to think clearly, learn properly, and ultimately perform well academically.
Make yourself want to do well. The best motivation is not parents, teachers, or friends, it’s internal motivation, a constant admission to yourself that you want to succeed. If you really want it, you can bear to work for it.
