Meet Our Talent 100 Mentor: Adi Kishore

Here at Talent we’ve amassed a variety of Mentors which have taught and encouraged our students throughout the years – guiding them through high school and the HSC.

We call our teachers and tutors ‘Mentors’ because they deliver more than simply theory. Talent 100 Mentors are all outstanding achievers, but it’s their passion for teaching and mentoring which matters most. Whilst an exceptional academic record is a must, our Mentors are also chosen for their ability to work with students of all levels and provide the pastoral guidance for future success.

Not only do we want to give thanks to these Mentors who have enriched the lives of many at Talent, but want to share their unique personalities and passions while also inspiring the next generation of high school students to strive for their best.

Adi’s Top 5 Study Tips:

Practice!!! We heard it all the time but practicing a variety of questions to consolidate the concepts you are learning is vital for success in the HSC.

Don’t get too comfortable! Whenever you are doing questions or past papers, or trying to learn a concept and it feels uncomfortable or difficult, don’t brush it off and go onto something else that you know well ready. Push through those harder concepts and questions, get help if necessary, and you’ll feel much better by the end of it!

Sleep!! This one has probably been said many times as well, but I must say that a solid sleep schedule is vital to make sure you consolidate everything you have learnt in the day, and everything you have practiced!

Planning! Try to set yourself a goal that you want to reach by a months time, and backtrack from that and figure out what you need to accomplish every week to reach that goal. Then, do your best to execute it!

Stay honest! Whenever you plan or get ready to study, don’t make yourself believe you can sit there for three hours straight if you actually can’t focus in that time, or don’t set a goal of finishing way more than is realistic. Make sure to set honest goals, and to increase them beyond your capacity just a little bit to challenge and motivate yourself! Also, when you need help, then seek it – everyone can benefit from some guidance sometimes.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?

My brother and I have a birthday on the same day, despite being 5 years apart!!
