My top 5 study tips
Your class teacher is your ally; access their feedback on your strengths and areas for improvement before you start a study program.
If you are a Preliminary/HSC English student then read your prescribed text more than once. Additionally, know what literary devices the composer has used to impart their thematic concern.
English is not a subject that you can study for overnight. Spend some time (2 - 3 times a week) engaging with English related skills eg reading and writing.
Writing is a skill. The more you engage with it the better you will get at it. Specially practise incorporating scaffolds such as PETAL/PEEL etc into your paragraphs
Work on the sophistication of your (both spoken and written) language. Try to learn a new formal word every week and practise using it. This will improve the overall quality of your work specially written.
