My top 5 study tips
1Prepare a daily timetable, noting down what work you have to do and by what time, to make studying structured and manageable. Account for breaks and extracurricular activities like exercising to prevent burnout!
2Have a copy of your syllabus sheet, highlighting the dot points you are confident with and the ones you find difficult. By doing this, you know how prepared you are for topics in your exams and can focus on studying the ones you need to improve on.
3Begin doing Trial and HSC papers under timed conditions early on, even if you are not fully confident with the content. This is important because it will enable you to practise time management, prepare exam strategies and understand the style of questions that are likely to be asked in exams.
4Do not leave studying until the last minute! Write your notes, complete syllabus sheet checkpoints, do past papers and ask any questions you have to teachers or tutors throughout the term. This will enable you to retain information early on, minimising the stress you would otherwise feel when you are studying last minute.
5Study at your own pace rather than comparing yourself to others. Set realistic goals, stay motivated and reward yourself for every single achievement you make. You can do this!
