My top 5 study tips
Write down what you have to do and when you have to get it done by. This is the first step to being on top of all your work as the load gets heavier over the school term, especially in senior years.
Ask questions! Even if it's not during class, you can always ask your teacher to clarify particular concepts or ask for feedback at the end of lessons or during break times. This will make you feel much more confident about doing an assignment or preparing for an exam.
Make notes throughout the term, not at the end of the term before upcoming exams! This will significantly reduce your workload and stress during prep for an assessment period and will allow you to focus your time on more effective tasks such as practice questions and past papers.
Promise yourself not to leave anything to the night before! Even if it's final edits for an assignment or the last few practice questions for an exam, you should always do something you enjoy or simply put work away the night before to ensure memory retention and a positive mindset.
Take time off, especially in senior years. Even if it seems like you have a million things to do, allocate a few hours each day to do something you enjoy. Whether its going out with friends, exercise, Netflix or a casual job, doing something that isn't school work will prevent burnout and keep you motivated!
