My top 5 study tips
Always be forgiving. I fell into a vicious cycle in the beginning where I would write ambitious to do lists everyday that were unachievable. I would often struggle to forgive myself for not completing the lists and would continue to sluggishly fall behind on my goals. It wasn't until my friend nonchalantly stated that having non study days were compulsory in the life was that I realised I should be setting ample breaks too. These changes helped me improve my mental health and struggles with stress as I found myself happier and more productive.
I would always recommend to stay on top of school/tutoring homework by using your senior study periods proactively.
Sleep is key! I used to have a terrible sleep schedule and I could barely pay attention in important classes!
Consistency is key! Cramming is a sin especially for skill based subjects like maths and science. It is important to practice past papers 2-3 weeks in advance of your exam under time pressure so you can adjust to exam environments.
"For content heavy subjects such as English or History, make sure to religiously consolidate your notes under each syllabus dot point. That way you are confidently covering any gaps that could be covered by the syllabus. "
