My top 5 study tips
Pace yourself! This involves tuning into your study habits and needs (physical and emotional) to effectively plan and manage your workload.
Maintain a balanced study routine where possible. This includes balance across your study of different subjects, strengths and weaknesses, as well as a balanced lifestyle (eg. maintain your extracurriculars and schedule in frequent rest and relaxation).
Sleep and rest are different and equally as important. Sleep is essential for you to stay physically and mentally healthy, in the same way that rest (ie. time away from study or other pressures and commitments (go watch some Netflix!)) gives you space to reflect and recuperate.
Test yourself consistently. Whilst notes are a useful guide to help you digest large amounts of content, testing yourself is crucial to better memory and adaption of your understanding (eg. creativity and critical thinking), which is super important for maximising your performance.
Keep track of your mistakes. After any assessment or marked task, record your mistakes and areas to improve. In subjects such as maths or science, a 'mistakes book' of your own worked solutions will help prevent you repeating the mistakes in future.
