Have you got what it takes to be a Talent 100 Scholar?
Introducing some of the brightest minds across our Talent 100 Tuition Centres, with students from Burwood, Epping, Chatswood, Hurstville and our latest Sydney City Campus – welcome to our 2020 Scholarship students!
We can share their unique personalities and passions both in and outside of our classrooms.
This week we’ve been chatting to our Scholarship student, Daniel who will be sitting the HSC this year.
When did you join Talent?
I joined Talent in Term 3, 2019
What’s the best part about high school tutoring at Talent?
I think it’s helped me to consolidate my knowledge of the syllabus. It’s very concise and it helps a lot.
The Mentors are also very easy to talk to, and their knowledge of the syllabus is really expansive, so they can help out with every niche, nuance or question that you have.
How does it feel to learn content one term before school?
Probably not having to learn everything the first time through.
In the past, the stuff being taught in class (in the past) you would have to understand it right then and there when it’s taught. Then you would have to carry that knowledge forward with you through the term, and you don’t have that much time to revisit the content.
But now with tutoring, you can revisit the content at Talent, but also at school.
Can you share your number one study tip?
Be consistent. It’s not good to cram before an exam – you just have to maintain those study habits throughout the term. This way, you won’t leave out in gaps in the syllabus that might be explored in an exam.
What are your career aspirations after high school?
Either Medicine or something in Computer Science.
If you could describe talent in one word, what would it be?
Helpful
