Here at Talent we’ve amassed a variety of Mentors which have taught and encouraged our students throughout the years – guiding them through high school and the HSC.
We call our teachers and tutors ‘Mentors’ because they deliver more than simply theory. Talent 100 Mentors are all outstanding achievers, but it’s their passion for teaching and mentoring which matters most. Whilst an exceptional academic record is a must, our Mentors are also chosen for their ability to work with students of all levels and provide the pastoral guidance for future success.
Not only do we want to give thanks to these Mentors who have enriched the lives of many at Talent, but want to share their unique personalities and passions while also inspiring the next generation of high school students to strive for their best.

Kei’s Top 5 Study Tips:
Do short, sharp study (For example, I did 2 hours of study 5 times a week throughout Year 12, but did nothing more)
Make to-do lists, and cross them out as you go
Do practice questions rather than making neat notes
Make use of teachers – always ask for feedback of your work
Balance your life; do sports, still have fun with your friends, and enrich your high school experience!

What is your favourite part of teaching?
Being able to teach students little Maths tricks and short cuts, and seeing students’ surprised faces 🙂
What is the best part about teaching at Talent?
Having small-sized classes so that I get to know the students well, and go through their struggles and achievements together!
Can you share some tips for junior students who are taking online classes?
Engage, engage, engage!
I find that a lot of students mute themselves and have their cameras off. It would be good to have interaction just like we do in regular face-to-face classes, and I’m always up for little conversations during classes!
Where do you see yourself after Talent and University?
I am trying to transfer into Law next year. Being Japanese, my ultimate goal is to be legal consulting for many Japanese businesses operating their branches in Australia.
